COURSE INFORMATION

50K with total climbing 2400m+
25K with total climbing 1400m+
10K with total climbing 900m+
RACE GROUPING
1. 10K: Grouped by gender.
2. 25/50K: Grouped by gender and age, and the age calculation time is December 31, 2024.
QUALIFICATION
1. Age: athletes must be 18-69yrs old by Dec.31, 2024. Under/overaged athletes shall contact XTERRA Customer Service (whose WeChat QR code is at the end of the article), and can only register after being reviewed and approved by the organizing committee.
2. Experience
a. 25K: Must have 15K or longer distance trail run or semi-marathon finishing experience from last two years.
b. 50K: Must have 30K or longer distance trail run or full-marathon finishing experience from last two years.
c. Please submit your previous finishing certificate while registering. The registration will be considered successful only after it is approved by the event organizer.
3. Health Condition
a. Please consider your physical fitness. Do not register for the event unless you can finish the race within the closing time. Safety first, the marshal or doctor has the right to suspend the athletes from the competition according to his/her physical condition, and the athletes shall not have any objection.
b. To participate in this event, please pay attention to your physical health condition. Please consider carefully. Athletes should have a physical examination in a qualified regular medical institution, and those with the following diseases or conditions should not participate in the competition.
1) Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;
2) Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;
3) Myocarditis and other heart diseases;
4) Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;
5) Diabetes;
6) Those who drink a lot of alcohol or have insufficient sleep the night before the race;
7) COVID-19 patients and close contacts;
8) Pregnant women;
9) Other diseases that are not suitable for exercise.
Do not hide your health condition and do not participate, otherwise, the participant should be responsible for any accident that might happen during the event. The event organizer shall not be held responsible.
REGISTRATION
1. To register, please log in to the XTERRA WeChat Mini Program or 3rd party registration platforms (Zuicool, Maramara, Weibu, Zhixingheyi). Limited slots are available, and registration will close once all slots are filled.
2. Payment:

￮ After completing the payment, the system will send a confirmation email to the registered email address. Once the registration process is completed, for any reason, all registration data cannot be modified.
3. Important athletes Information, such as the race category, athletes’ name, ID number, date of birth, etc., must be carefully verified by the athletes, the guardian of kids players, or legal representatives. If any data errors cause damage to the individual’s rights, the responsible party shall bear the responsibility, and no objections will be accepted.
4. If an invoice is needed, please send email to xterra.china@xterraplanet.com before May 26, 2024, listing out athlete name, ID#, receipt amount and invoice title. Request after that date will not be accepted.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
1. All registrations are non-refundable after the specified cancellation dates. Registration is non-transferrable.
2. Athletes may be eligible for a partial refund of their entry fee (details below)
￮ Any requests received before 17:00, Sep. 22, 2024 will be eligible for a 50% refund of the price paid.
￮ Any requests received after that will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstance.
￮ Athletes who wish to withdraw:
– If you register via XTERRA WeChat Mini-Program, Zhixingheyi or Weibu, you shall submit the refund by yourself via the registration platform.
– If you register via zuicool.com or Maramara, you must write to the race office via email at xterra.china@xterraplanet.com. The email shall include race category, order number, contact info.
3. For athletes who are unable to participate for whatever the reason after the refund deadline, if they wish to receive the race kit, they should send an email to xterra.china@xterraplanet.com within 7 days after the race. The race kit will be sent via cash-on-delivery (COD) & that will only be available within mainland China.
RACE CHECK-IN
1. All athletes are required to check-in in person.
2. Check-in Date: Oct. 25-26, 2024 (Please refer to the event schedule of athletes guide for specific timings & location).
3. Check-in Location: Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province
4. Check-in Process:
￮ Identity verification → Sign the “Liability Waiver” → Collect race kit → Attend technical briefing.
5. During check-in, participants must present the original identification documents used during registration (ID card, household registration booklet, or passport, etc.).
6. Athletes must collect their race kit in person using valid identification documents, while underage athletes must be accompanied by their guardians or legal representatives. Participants who fail to meet the qualification requirements or whose guardians or legal representatives do not sign the “Participation Declaration” on-site may be denied race kit giving, and no registration fees will be refunded.
7. Please check and ensure that the athletes information and race kit are complete and accurate to avoid any inconveniences.
8. A race briefing will be conducted to explain the race rules, routes, procedures, and important points to the athletes before the race start on Oct. 27, 2024.
9. Athletes who fail to check-in within the specified time will automatically lose their race qualifications and will not be allowed to enter the race route. Race Marshals have the authority to stop those athletes without a race bib from participating in the race.
10. Athletes who are unable to participate in the race due to unforeseen reason and wish to receive race kit should send an email to xterra.china@xterraplanet.com within 7 days after the race. The race kit will be sent via cash-on-delivery (COD) and that will only be available within mainland China.

RACE T-SHIRT MEASUREMENTS (CM)
Remarks：
1. 1. Measurement ±3cm is within tolerance.
2. Please check your registration info before registering and ensure proper size is selected. If failed to do that, we would assign a random size to you.
3. The change of size after registration is not acceptable. Also, due to the long production lead time, athletes who register late may not be able to choose their own size.
AWARDS & PRIZE
1. Finishers:
2. Prize: The overall top 3 male and female athletes of 10/25/50K will receive cash prizes. All cash prizes are before tax. Before delivering the prizes, the personal income tax (20%) will be deducted.
3. Trophy: The overall top 3 male and female finishers of 10/25/50K will receive a trophy and are required to participate in the award ceremony.
4. Qualifying slots for the 2025 XTERRA Trail Run World Championship half and full marathon races will be awarded to the top finishers of 25/50K races at the event：
*Remarks: Slots are only valid for the distance in which they were earned. If you earn a slot at a half marathon race, it qualifies you for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship half-marathon. If you earn a slot at a marathon, it qualifies you for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship marathon. Downgrading qualifying distances will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of XTERRA officials. Possible roll downs slots may be available at the discretion of the XTERRA Trail Run Crew.
MANDATORY & SUGGESTED EQUIPMENTS

RULES & INFORMATION
A. General
1. If for any reason an athlete can not finish the race, he/she must report to the finish line area. This will result in a DNF (did not finish) result.
2. Consider the safety of yourself and other athletes at all times during the race. Treat other athletes, race officials, race marshals, medical staff, traffic enforcers, and spectators with respect and courtesy before, during and after the race.
3. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct, including the improper use of language or conduct directed toward another participant, race official, race marshal, medical staff or traffic enforcer, and spectators.
4. Any protest relating to race results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within one hour of the final race cutoff.
5. For environmental protection, we advocate:
a. Littering on the course is prohibited. Any item that needs to be discarded, including water bottles, gel wrappers, energy bar wrappers, or clothing items, can only be discarded at aid / hydration stations.
b. No disposable water cup for this event. Please bring your own water bottle. A silicon cup will also be provided in the race bag.
c. Bottle water is neither allowed to be brought to the course, nor taken outside of the SP stations.
d. Alpenstocks and other auxiliary tools are not recommended during the race.
e. No smoking in SP stations or on the course.
6. MP3 players or any kind of personal music / listening devices with headset are highly recommended not to be used at any time during the race for safety concern.
7. Race bibs and race registration CANNOT be transferred. Athletes found racing under a different name will be disqualified.
8. In case of severe weather on race day, XTERRA reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments to the racecourse to ensure the safety of all participants. If XTERRA cancelled the race, full payment of the registration fee would be returned to athletes.
B. Segments
1. Available in 25/50K races, segment challenges offer additional series ranking points to the top 20 speedsters, climbers and downhill bombers over defined sections of the course.

C. Penalty Rules
1. Athletes who engage in the following behaviors, his/her race result will be cancelled:
a. Intentionally destroying or altering course signages;
b. Intentionally damaging the equipment of other athletes;
c. Maliciously obstructing other athletes’ progress;
d. Refusing to attend the award ceremony;
e. Riding in a vehicle during the race;
f. Conducting commercial activities without the approval of the organizing committee and refusing to correct it;
g. Failing to carry the required competition equipment (such as mandatory equipment, not wearing the race bib on the chest, or not using the chip timing device as required) and having a significant impact on competition safety and results;
h. Refusing inquiries and examinations by medical staff during the event;
i. Disobeying the instructions of referees, pacemakers, and other violations of the competition rules.
2. The results of the game will be cancelled, and participation in this event will be prohibited for three years, and the name will be published on the official website of the event for violators who break the following rules:
a. Athletes who profit from the assistance of others during the competition (such as riding in a car, being supported, etc.);
b. Those who register for a category that does not match their identity or qualification documents;
c. Violations of sportsmanship and ethics (such as fighting, insulting referees and event staff, etc.).
D. Timing System & GPS
1. Each race bib will be attached with a timing chip. The race bib shall be clearly visible on the front of the runner at all times during the race.
2. Failure to wear a race bib, or have no time record at the start, finish and each checkpoint will result in disqualification.
3. GPS positioning device deposit of RMB 200, 50K athletes to pay the deposit at the time of check-in, return the device after the race, the event organizer will refund the deposit within 2 days after the race. The deposit is non-refundable if the device is missing.
4. The official start time will be the gun time. The race result will be based on the time when the athlete passes the timing mat at the finish line.
INSURANCE PLAN
1. This event provides public accidental insurance (all details are subject to the insurance contract of the insurance company). The coverage is within the designated event venue and includes athletes, staff, and spectators. Participants are also recommended to purchase personal insurance according to their personal needs.
2. In the event of natural disasters such as typhoons before the competition, the event will be canceled or postponed or an alternative route will be used based on the safety of the participants, and the organizers will make a separate announcement.
3. Participants should follow the signs and directions and comply with traffic commands, road traffic regulations, signs, markings, and signals. Please observe traffic conditions and pay attention to your own safety during the round trip.
4. Please fill in all columns of the registration form in detail. If errors or omissions result in the loss of insurance coverage, the participant should bear the responsibility.
5. Public accidental insurance coverage includes: third-party bodily injury, death, disability, or third-party property damage caused by accidents during the insurance period. When a claim is made, the insurance company is responsible for compensating the insured for the compensation liability.
1. Sports injuries caused by personal illness.
2. Symptoms caused by personal physical conditions or cardiovascular problems, such as shock, heart disease, diabetes, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, high altitude sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, etc. Injuries caused by pre-existing conditions will not be covered by insurance, and public accidental insurance only covers injuries caused by external accidents.
3. Athletes with a medical history of the illnesses mentioned in item 2 are advised to consider their safety carefully and purchase personal accident insurance on their own.
4. If you have had the following medical conditions or symptoms, you are at high risk of sudden death. Please consult a physician for a professional judgment and do not participate forcefully: unexplained chest discomfort (chest tightness, chest pain), unexplained difficulty breathing, unexplained dizziness, sudden loss of consciousness, hypertension, heart disease, kidney dysfunction, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, family history of heart disease, and epilepsy.
DISCLAIMER
During the event, if athletes incur property damage or bodily injuries due to their participation in the race, the organizer will assist in handling insurance claims. However, participants may not seek any form of compensation from the organizing committee, host organization, or event organizer for reasons such as being covered by existing insurance claims, exclusion from coverage, or non-compliance with the insurance policy.
Once athletes register, it is considered that they agree to all the provisions of this competition rules.

WARNING
This is a legal document that affects your rights. If you are uncertain about any terms in this document, you should consult independent legal advice before signing. If another person has entered your application in the Event and you have also participated in the Events, that person is assumed to be your agent and that person has accepted on your behalf all the terms and conditions set out within the online registration system of the Events. Furthermore, the Event organizer may still require you to sign this agreement on the date of the event even though you have entered online.
WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT
In consideration of the acceptance of my application to participate in the 2024 XTERRA ZHANGJIAJIE WULINGYUAN TRAIL RUN including without limitation, participating in the event and participating in any all pre and post event activities and social events (collectively, the “Event”), and/or my being permitted to officiate, observe, work for or in any manner participate in the Event or its staging, and intending to be legally bound hereby, I hereby freely agree, represent and acknowledge, for myself, my personal representatives, assigns and heirs that:
(1) I HEREBY RELEASE AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE, AND SHALL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, XTERRA SPORTS (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. (the Event organizer, hereinafter referred to as “XTERRA SPORT”); all cities, counties or localities in which the Event or segments of the Event are held; all Event co-organizer, sponsors, advertisers, officials, volunteers and independent contractors; owners and lessees of property used to conduct or used in conjunction with the Event; and the officers, directors, shareholders, partners, employees, members and agents of any of the above (the “Releasees”); FROM EVERY CLAIM AND ANY LIABILITY that I, my personal representatives, heirs and assigns may allege against the Releasees, including attorney’s fees, as a direct or indirect result of injury to me or my property or resulting in my death, whether or not caused by any act or omission of Releasees, including but not limited to the negligence of Releasees or otherwise while I am in any way competing in, officiating, observing, working for, or in any manner participating in the Event or its staging;
(2) I acknowledge that participating in the Event can be a dangerous activity that involves risks of serious bodily injury, death or property damage and I HEREBY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH AND PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of Releasees or otherwise arising out of or in any way relating to any of the events referred to in item 1 hereof;
(3) I will comply with all rules, regulations and instructions of the Event and its officials;
(4) I am physically fit , and there is no medical reason why I should not participate in the Event;
(5) I CONSENT TO RECEIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT in the event that I become ill, I am injured or I am involved in an accident during the Event or as otherwise deemed necessary or advisable by Event officials; I FURTHER CONSENT TO RETIRE AND LEAVE THE EVENTS OR ITS STAGING immediately if requested by Event organizer, Event co-organizer, Event official, medical staff, Event director or security staff based on reasonable safety and/or health reason.
(6) I CONSENT TO XTERRA SPORT TO COLLECT, STORE AND USE MY PERSONAL DATA as provided by me in the Entry Form for the purpose of or in connection with the Event (including but not limited to organization, promotion, and publicity of the Event) ; and I CONSENT TO THE FREE AND UNRESTRICTED USE OF MY NAME, VOICE, PICTURE AND PERSONAL DATA in any and all Event promotional materials, videotapes, telecasts, and promotions for any purposes deemed necessary by XTERRA SPORT, including but not limited to commercial use and passing to the Releasees for the purpose of or in connection with the Events, and I waive all right to any claims to which I may otherwise be entitled as a result of the use of my name or likeness or any other personal data;
(7) I confirm to participate in the event with my accurate personal information; and I consent to provide correct and valid ID/passport to verify my personal details to the Releasees and agree to take full responsibility of any consequences resulted from incorrect or invalid personal details;
(8) I HAVE CAREFULLY READ, UNDERSTAND AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNED THIS AGREEMENT.
I HEREBY AFFIRM THAT I AM EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS.
